Mani Tese – The Fashion Experience
StarChestnut embraced the challenge launched by the NGO Mani Tese by developing an innovative public awareness project focused on the critical issues affecting the global textile supply chain.
The result was **The Fashion Experience**, a highly immersive and innovative installation created in the heart of Milan’s Darsena, made possible through the collaboration of the Municipality of Milan and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
Designed to raise awareness of the social and environmental issues surrounding the fast fashion industry, the experience took place inside three branded geodesic domes, transformed into immersive environments through the use of panoramic video projections, augmented reality, and interactive video installations powered by motion-sensing technology.
The campaign was supported by a comprehensive communication strategy, including urban billboards, video spots across Milan’s metro network, and social media promotion, helping to attract significant public attention and engagement.
StarChestnut managed the project end to end, overseeing both the communication campaign and the production of the entire event—from the design and construction of the installations to the technical and operational coordination, as well as the overall creative direction of the immersive experience.
The event was conceived to engage visitors on both an emotional and experiential level, transforming the topic of sustainability into a tangible, participatory, and impactful experience.
