Self-Esteem day

On June 15, 2022, at Giardini Indro Montanelli in Milan, Self-Esteem Day—promoted by Dove (Unilever Group) and supported by Milan’s Welfare and Health Councilor, Lamberto Bertolé—created a meaningful space for reflection and discussion on self-esteem and how society shapes self-perception.

The event tackled key topics such as the role of family and education, the impact of social media, the pressure of stereotypes, and the importance of authentic and inclusive beauty.

A large geodesic dome welcomed the public with an interactive installation and a series of panel discussions featuring distinguished speakers. Stefania Andreoli, Sandrino Marenco, The Pozzolis Family, and Nick Cerioni explored The Ages of Self-Esteem, analyzing how self-confidence develops and evolves throughout life.

In the discussion The Social “Beauty”, Benedetta De Luca, Oxana Lipka, Beatrice Valli, and Sara Ventura examined the role of social media in shaping self-image. Meanwhile, Valentina Dallari, Luciano Spinelli, Carly Tommasini, and Simone Marchetti addressed The Weight of Prejudices, shedding light on how stereotypes influence identity and authenticity.

The event was produced in collaboration with Edelman Italia, while StarChestnut handled the creative direction, production, and overall event management. The agency transformed the concept into an engaging and impactful experience, leaving a strong message about authenticity and the value of diversity.

Additionally, StarChestnut was responsible for the design and production of installations, scenography, interactive exhibits, and event permitting, as well as the overall stage direction.

Leading the discussion and ensuring a dynamic conversation was moderator Chiara Tagliaferri.
